Who Are We?

Who We Are

We are a company of Christians from Kilwinning and surrounding district who meet according to principles outlined in The Bible. This is our only source of authority and we believe it to be wholly inspired by God. We have no ordained minister or other single presiding officer but are led and guided by elders.

A Christian in the Bible sense of the word means much more than the very general term in common usage today. A Christian is someone who has come to realise that they are a sinner in God's sight and as such they are excluded from heaven and God's blessings.

However because of God's immense Love He sent His only Son Jesus into the World to die on the cross at Calvary to pay the price of our salvation and allow us to have a full pardon and enjoy the full blessings of heaven and of eternal life if we put our trust in Him.

'If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' (1 John 1:9)

Old Bridgend, Kilwinning

An old postcard print of the bridge over the River Garnock at Bridgend, Kilwinning showing the Gospel Hall on the right of the picture. A building then occupied the space near the river that has now been demolished and the space now forms part of the car park.

The top picture shows the Hall as it is today.
